Welcome to Orange Walk and the Banquitas House of Culture - unique space that sits in the historic site of Banquitas (which means "little benches”) along the banks of the New River and in the heart of downtown Orange Walk. We are a House of Culture as well as a cultural center for the northern region of Belize which comprises of Orange Walk and Corozal districts and a school of arts which helps in the development, promotion and conservation of the artistic and cultural dynamics of the people.

At Banquitas there is a museum comprising a collection of Maya artifacts and a display of historical Orange Walk from logging to cane farming. There is also a display space and a conference room available for workshops, lectures and exhibitions.
The grounds feature a landscaped park, restaurant and a small amphi-theatre for outdoor functions such as concerts, plays and educational presentations. It can also be the perfect setting for a family picnic or bazaar.
Banquitas is situated along the banks of the New River on Main Street, Orange Walk Town right beside the bridge leading to San Estevan.
