The Planning, Policy and Marketing Program focuses on the ability of the IA to more effectively establish its goals and objectives and to plan for changes, growth and development in the management of cultural resources.
Specific objectives
- Facilitate responsible and equitable public access to archaeological resources for sustainable development, micro enterprises, community development, resource management, heritage tourism and other legitimate uses.
- To preserve significant and/or representative resources for present and future use through appropriate legislations.
- To control, reduce or prevent the unnecessary and unmitigated loss of cultural resources.
- Promote regional and international cooperation at all levels of heritage management.
