Terryl Godoy also known as ‘Man at Work’ is one of the most talented scenic artists in Belize. Terryl rose to prominence in the 90’s as a street artist, a painter who did his work on the street corner. Terryl has made his mark on the Belizean art scene by sketching and painting little documented Belize scenes such as the canals that traverse Belize City and of old buildings such as the newly dismantled Belize City Market.
He has been featured on several Belizean shows, newscast, prominent newspapers, magazines, web-pages, and his work is displayed in large hotels, law-firms, banks and prominent businesses countrywide and can also be purchased in New York.
He is proud of having exhibited in Jamaica, Trinidad, Honduras and Belize; and as an artist has travelled to London, Belgium, Paris, Barbados, Guatemala and Spain.
Besides being a painter, ‘Man at Work’ is also an accomplished musician, and says he was inspired by music from an early age and got his first keyboard with the trade of his paintings. His genre of music is mostly feel-good reggae as his latest release “Reggae Bus” exemplifies.
Terryl finds beauty in the unique city of Belize and strives to share that message with his viewers, he hopes to travel the world with his music and street paintings….he is truly a street artist and loves a complicated scene.
The exhibit runs up until the end of October.
