The five persons on display are nationally recognized heroes- Honorable George Price and Phillip Goldson, and the only named benefactor- Baron Bliss. Cleopatra White and Samuel Haynes are recognized as unsung Heroes. This exhibit will become an annual one where other heroes will be put on display similarly.
The exhibition consists of poster boards filled with some of their actual words extracted taken from newspaper articles, and various interviews as well as various items that sets the atmosphere of the time that person lived. The exhibition provides a preview into their life and works over the years as well as some interesting facts.
The opening ceremony for this exhibition was previously held held Tuesday March 9th, 2010 at the House of Culture, Government House in Belize City. A special presentation was done by Ms. Florence Goldson about her father. Ms. Myrna Manzanares, president of the National Kriol Council did a small presentation about Ms. Cleopatra White, as well as a tribute to George Price by a student from Holy Redeemer.
A small team of actors opened the viewing of the exhibition by dressing up and portraying the several heroes and benefactor with a small presentation. All are encouraged to come on out and view the exhibition.
