Taiwanese: Artists in Belize Exhibit

E-mail Print PDF

This project was put together by the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) to showcase eight Taiwanese artists who have made their homes in Belize.  The exhibition is multifaceted and showcases Taiwanese-Belizean artists in different genres and mediums.  Thirty pieces were chosen to signify the 30 years of Independence that Belize celebrates this year.

The Republic of China (Taiwan) and NICH are delighted for the opportunity to share the exhibit with people throughout Belize at four locations throughout the country.  The exhibit opened in Belmopan.  The second leg of the tour was in Dangriga and it was opened in Belize City on October 4th, 2011. It will be wrapped up in Orange Walk at the end of the month.

Each location will give Belizeans an opportunity to view these amazing artists and find out more about Taiwan, its people and culture.
Visitors will enjoy this unique collection that blends the creativity of these fine Taiwanese artists with the influence they found in the beauty of Belize as a backdrop for their inspiration.
